White Christmas, 2010

Janett, my taxlady on the right, Elaine on left. Photo at Janett's house.
It was Janett's party that I missed when I had two flight delays due to
mechanical problems on Dec 2nd.

The snow started in Clayton around 8:30 AM when I took the dogs out to walk. It continued all day long. Temp was around 34 degrees so it melted as it fell.
First time it snowed in Georgia on Christmas day since 1882.

My brother Budge and I check out the local sites in the snow. This is an
original cabin at Rainey Mountain Boy Scout Camp in Clayton the town where I now live.

Some of my first trips to Clayton were to accompany my parents taking my brother to be a counselor at camp. See the hand hewed logs.

The owner of the cabin was dedicated to scouting, and he donated the
property for the Boy Scout Camp.

Anyone want to sit in the snow?

Former Apple Shed over 100 years old, now a weekend home.
Underneath the snow on the roof is a very old tin roof.
The chimney was held together with mud. The recent
owners had the mud replaced with a stronger substance,
and the chimney was restacked.

A welcome bouquet to the Christmas Eve Service at St. James Episcopal Church.
